Chaudhary Birender Singh (born 25 March 1946) is a senior Indian political leader. He is currently serving as the Union Minister of Steel. He previously served as Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Sanitation & Drinking Water in the Narendra Modi led NDA Government in India.
Birender Singh is the grandson of great peasant leader Sir Chhotu Ram. His father Ch. Neki Ram was a politician in joint Punjab. After being associated with the Indian National Congress for over 42 long years, Ch. Birender Singh declared joining the Bharatiya Janata Party on 16 August 2014 in a political rally organised in Jind, Haryana in the presence of President of the BJP, Amit Shah.
Birender Singh joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 29 August 2014, after tendering his resignation from the membership of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India on 28 August 2014.

Shri Sunil Barthwal, aged 49 years, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Bihar Cadre, is a Post Graduate in Economics. He did his B.A.(Hons) Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and his M.A. Economics from J.N.U, Delhi. He has a PG Diploma in Economics of Competition Law from King’s College, London.
During his rich and varied experience as an IAS officer, he has held various administrative positions in the areas of Revenue Management, Rural Development, District Administration, Energy & Power, Finance, Home Affairs, Transport, etc. in the State Government and in the Ministries of Labour and Mines in the Central Government. Prior to joining as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, he was Resident Commissioner, Government of Bihar in Delhi.
He has widely published articles in Economic Times, Financial Express and other publications.

Mr. Prashant S. Ruia

Prashant Ruia is Member of Board, Essar Capital Ltd. He is part of the second generation of the Ruia family which founded Essar and are the sole investors in Essar Global Fund Limited ("EGFL"). EGFL was founded 41 years ago by his father, Shashi Ruia and uncle Ravi Ruia.

As Executive Director (Commercial), SAIL, New Delhi, Shri Banerjee was associated with working out strategies and policies of the Marketing Organisation of the Company. He was also the Chief Risk Officer of SAIL and instituted the Enterprise Risk Management in plants and other units in SAIL.
Worked as Executive Director (Human Resource Development) of Management Training Institute, SAIL at Ranchi. Presented case studies at 9th Corporate University Week at Orlando, Florida, USA during Nov’07 and was awarded the First Runner Up Prize in the competition contested by 25 Corporate Universities.
Worked as Regional Manager (Long Products), Northern Region, New Delhi and was involved in marketing of Long Products and formulating of marketing strategies in Northern Region comprising of 6 States.
Also Worked on Demand Forecasting, sector wise analysis, international price comparison and industrial growth with special reference to Steel Industry as Deputy General Manager (Market Research) in Steel Authority of India Limited.
Has published reports and presented papers on steel demand, linkages of economic growth with various industrial segments, globalisation, international trade, Anti-Dumping, WTO issues relating to steel in national and international seminars.
Shri Banerjee is the Member of National Committee on Steel of Both CII and FICCI.
Presently working as Director General, Institute for Steel Development & Growth (INSDAG) at Kolkata, an Institute set up by Ministry of Steel and all major Steel Producers like SAIL, TATA, RINL, JSW, ESSAR Steel, Ispat Industries to promote steel consumption in the country by making innovative and cost effective steel based structural designs.
Shri Banerjee is also the Hony CEO of Indian Iron & Steel Sector Skill Council (IISSSC) jointly promoted by INSDAG and Bengal Chamber of Commerce to impart training assessment and certificate of the people to meet the skill gap in Iron and Steel Sector in the country under the mandate of National Skill Development Corporation.

Mr. Vikram Amin is the Executive Director-Strategy and Business Development, at Essar Steel Limited, a leading steel maker with a global presence. Mr. Amin has a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University, USA. He joined the Essar Group in 1987 and has held several leadership positions within Essar’s steel businesses including Executive Director- Sales & Marketing- Essar Steel India, and President Director- PT Essar Indonesia.
Under his leadership, Essar Steel has emerged as one of the largest and finest producers in India. Mr. Amin has played a defining role in establishing a pan India retail network of Hypermarts, and developing a steel processing and distribution business, spread over 6 locations in India and 1 each in the UAE and Indonesia.

Prof Mahesh Tandon

Prof Mahesh Tandon is an international expert in the field of Structural Engineering. Many of the structures designed by Prof Tandon and his firm Tandon Consultants Pvt Ltd have been widely acclaimed and have received recognition in India as well as internationally. He was appointed Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technologies at Kanpur and Roorkee by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
He is a Fellow of INAE and was the Chairman of the National Information Center for Earthquake Engineering at IIT Kanpur and the past President of Indian Concrete Institute. He has spearheaded the development of many codes of practice on Concrete and on Bridge Structures in India.

Sumit started his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1995 with M&M (Intertrade Division). He has been associated with various roles including Steel Service Centre sales and operations, product development, sourcing, supply chain management and business development. In addition to heading a Strategic Business Unit in 2005, he was responsible for the Sharjah Operations at Mahindra Middle East Electrical Steel during the period 2009 -12.
In 2012-13, Sumit played a critical role in Joint Venture discussions with potential global partners.
This successfully culminated with the signing of a JV with China Steel Global Trading Corporation, Taiwan and Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., Singapore to establish Mahindra Auto Steel Pvt Ltd.
Sumit has been a key member of the leadership team and has played a pivotal role in transforming Intertrade to a multi-vertical steel solutions company leading to his position as Managing Director of Mahindra Intertrade Ltd and Mahindra Steel Service Centre Ltd in October 2015.
Sumit is a Mechanical Engineer (Hons) from Birla Institute of Technology and a post-graduation in Marketing with over 21 years of experience in the steel domain.He was awarded CEO with HR orientation award at Malaysia Best Employer Brand Awards 2016 and Next Generation Leader Award 2016 at Manufacturing Today Awards 2016.
In his free time, he likes to watch movies and is an avid fan of cricket. Sumit lives in Mumbai with hiswife, Rashi and their two daughters.

Mr. VK Saraswat

Vijay Kumar Saraswat is an Indian scientist who formerly served as the Director General of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Minister of Defence. He retired on 31 May 2013. and presently Member of NITI Aayog i.e. Planning Commission of India.
Saraswat is the key scientist in the development of the Prithvi missile and its induction in the Indian armed forces. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri from the Government of India.
Dr Saraswat is fellow of National Academy of Engineering, Aeronautical Society of India, Astronautical Society of India, and Institution of Engineers. He is a member of governing council of SAMEER and member of Board of Research of AICTE, CSIR labs, and board of studies of Osmania University. He is Chairman, Combustion Institute (Indian Section), and Aeronautical Society of India (Hyderabad Branch). Dr. Saraswat is a forerunner in the development of number of critical missile technologies that were under denial due to the Missile Technology Control Regime, thus making India self-reliant in Missile Technologies. He has headed various committees of national importance.
Dr Saraswat is the recipient of DRDO Scientist of the Year Award - 1987, National Aeronautical Prize - 1993, DRDO Technology Transfer Award - 1996 and Performance Excellence Award - 1999. For his outstanding contributions to the Nation, he has been conferred with Padma Shri in 1998.He was also conferred with Padma Bhusan by the Govt. of India in 2013. In January 2010 & December 2012 he was awarded with honorary doctorate from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat & SRM University chennai respectively.

Mr. KK Pahuja

A former Executive Director of state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Pahuja was part of key strategic groups responsible for growth plans, product development and operating efficiencies. With over 40 years of experience in steel industry, he has worked in operations, supply chain, coal management and policy formulation. Pahuja has also been associated with both the industry as well as the government including Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL Corporate office and Ministry of Steel, ISSDA said.

Ms. Rita singh

Rita Singh has become a shining example of woman entrepreneurship in the country. She is running successfully Mesco, a leading industrial house in the country with estimated enterprise value of 4.0 billion US dollars. Under her leadership Mesco through its flagship steel company Mideast Integrated Steels Ltd (MISL) set up a steel plant of 1.20 million ton per annum capacity in Kalinga Nagar. Mesco also acquired Maithan Ispat Ltd, last year in a deal of $185 million.
After graduating from St. Francis De Sales and marrying JK Singh, who was then a pilot in Indian Air Force, she started her entrepreneurial journey. She started several businesses and ran them successfully in shoes, leather, tannery, real estate, airlines and pharmaceuticals in 1980s and 1990s.
For her outstanding success, she received the Recognition as the Best Woman Entrepreneur of the Decade, given by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry in 1990. She was the first woman entrepreneur to be nominated on the Board of Trade, the highest body for trade and commerce of the Government of India advising the Prime Minister in 1991. She was also the Chairperson of the Council of Leather Exports and Chairperson of FDDI under Ministry of Commerce. She is represented on various industry bodies.
She also started a very robust program of corporate social responsibility for the benefit of local community with a focus on improving health and sanitation, imparting education and training and building rural infrastructure.
